How is an event management system different from a ticketing tool?

A ticketing tool stops working the moment a ticket is sold. An event management system carries the same attendee record forward: ticket type determines zone access at check-in, what each attendee sees in the app, and how they appear in post-event reporting. The difference shows up most in the final week before an event. With separate tools, every change to the attendee list means exporting and importing files and reconciling mismatches by hand. Gridaly keeps one attendee database and one panel, so a change made once applies to registration, the check-in desk and the app at the same time.

Is Gridaly a browser-based conference management system, with nothing to install?

Yes. The organiser panel runs in the browser, so your team installs nothing and works on the same data from anywhere. Event setup, registration, communication and reporting all live in the panel. On-site check-in is the exception. Your staff use the Gridaly Check-in app on a phone, or a scanner we supply together with a badge sticker printer.

Can we license selected modules, or is it all or nothing?

You do not have to take everything. Scope is agreed per event. Do attendees have to download an app from the store?

No. The Gridaly Event app is available on the App Store and Google Play, but attendees can also use the browser version by opening a link from their email or scanning a QR code. No installation, no store account. This matters at corporate events, where company phones are often under MDM policies that block downloads outside an approved catalogue. Those attendees reach the agenda, networking and live polls through the browser instead.
