Janinary was a series of 4 webinars on statistics organized and hosted by a Polish statistics expert and influencer Janina Bąk. The webinars were held over 4 months, 1 time each month.
The organizers aimed at monetizing their community with a series of paid webinars.
Hosting webinars in the Gridaly Web app allowed the organizers to employ a few smart sales strategies, that resulted in several thousand registered participants and a 6.8% conversion rate.
The organizers wanted to encourage as many people as possible to purchase access to the webinars. Webinar participants were supposed to have two options: buy access to particular webinars or a bundle package with access to all of them. In order to drive sales, the organizers used two strategies. Firstly, they used ticket discounts so that people who wished to attend all webinars would pay less than if they were buying access to each particular webinar. The discount was time-limited and would only work on selected dates. Secondly, they decided to host one introductory webinar free of charge, which was supposed to serve as a teaser of what the attendees can expect. Attendees could register for the first webinar of the series for free and later decide, whether they were interested in seeing the paid content. Applying these strategies allowed the organizers to gather several thousand attendees for the first webinar, 6.8% of whom later purchased access to one or more webinars. 2 out of 3 of paid attendees purchased access to all of the webinars.

In the Gridaly Web app, participants could not only watch the webinar broadcast and participate in discussions and Q&A in the chat room but also visit a special space where they could learn about the organizers' products and purchase them.
